Weekly Opportunites
Bus Drivers (14 passenger buses):
Pick up children at area schools and/or take students home from Unity Center.
Monday and Wednesday: 2:10-3:50 and/or 5:20-6:15 pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 2:10-3:50 and/or 5:20-6:15 pm
Bus Rider – 2nd Adult:
Adult rider on Unity Bus with no driving required to fulfill Safe Sanctuaries Requirement. Meet and greet students, assist driver in taking roll, and handing out masks as needed.

DAWN Youth Group Assistant:
We need an adult who loves engaging with and talking with youth (grades 7th-12th) to assist in weekly sessions ranging in topics from leadership development, social and faith formation, current events and making sense of the world around us.
Monday: 4-5:30 pm

FUTURE After School Program Volunteer:
Work with students in grades K-12 during activity periods that currently include reading, physical activities, free time outdoors, and playing board games. Serve 1-2 days per week on a regular basis.

Piano Teacher, FUTURE After School Program:
Unity Center has a Yamaha piano lab with five pianos connected by a console that allows the teacher to selectively listen to the students via headphones. “Piano Adventures” lesson books by Nancy and Randall Faber are provided.

Small Group Project Leader, FUTURE After School Program:
A volunteer project leader teaches an enrichment skill they are willing to share to a small group of students, i.e. learning to sew, make a craft, speak a foreign language, or play a musical instrument. The possibilities are limited only by what volunteers offer to share.

Monthly Opportunities
Snack Preparer:
Be a team member who prepares a daily snack for students. Teams normally serve one week per month (September-April). All supplies are provided. Preparation takes 1-2 hours.

One-time Opportunities
Back to School Bonanza Volunteer:
Pack student school supply kits for Unity Center family pick up. They may also help pack family breakfasts or dinners in our kitchen for the annual drive-through event.
Second Thursday in August 3:00 – 6:00 pm or
Second Saturday in August 8:00 – 11:00 am

Dress for Success Shopper:
Shop with a 5th grader for new outfits and shoes as part of our Dress for Success enrichment program.
Once a year (spring or summer)

Retreat Chaperone:
Chaperone for a youth retreat (ages 12-18) during a weekend in early January. Chaperone must be able to stay overnight (1 night) and assist in small group activities. If you are interested in this service opportinity please contact our Program Assistant, Victor Barbosa.
Snack Provider:
Purchase needed groceries for a daily snack for students. If you are interested in this service opportinity please contact our Program Administrator, Mary Ketchersid.
Teacher Tea Volunteer:
Assist with set up and clean up for annual Teacher Tea.
Spring

Summer Day Camp Volunteer:
Volunteers stay with the same small group of day campers during a week-long session, assisting rotating activity leaders with whatever is necessary. Volunteers may also serve as activity leaders if they have a special interest they can share with campers.
