Program – Volunteers are VITAL

Volunteers are VITAL to the FUTURE After School Program! During Homework Time, volunteers work with grade level groups and help them stay on task to complete their work.

Volunteers in the Storycatchers program help improve 1st and 2nd graders’ reading skills through a variety of fun activities.

“Perpetual Motion” Thursdays provide an opportunity for volunteers to “play” organized physical activities with students.

“Oktoberfest”, FUTURE’s month of enrichment activities, needs any volunteer who has a skill that can be shared with a small group of eager-to-learn students. Events – Throughout the year there are a variety student and family events when volunteers are needed. Jobs can vary from flipping pancakes or frying sausage at the annual Shrove Tuesday celebration or supervising activities at the end of school year auction or assisting at annual Back to School Bonanza breakfast or even baking Christmas cookies. There are continual emerging opportunities.
