Required Training
There are two main types of training for Unity Center volunteers: Safe Sanctuaries and Tutor Training.
Safe Sanctuaries is an annual video format training focusing on policies on safety in our buildings during emergency situations and policies to protect children and youth from sexual abuse and exploitation. This is required of all volunteers.
Tutor Training is an in-person training that focuses on practices and policies related to dealing with children on a day-to-day basis. This training is normally offered twice a year.
