Youth Leadership

Youth in grades 7-12 fulfill essential leadership roles in the day to day operation of the FUTURE After School Program. The DAWN youth group (Disciples Acting With Nobility) meets weekly at the Melting Pot for enrichment and development and to plan and carry out service projects and social events. Approximately every 3 to 4 years, youth leaders are selected to participate in a week-long trip to Washington D.C. for learning seminars and touring.

DAWN Youth Program

D.A.W.N. (Disciples Acting With Nobility) is our weekly youth program that meets on Mondays from 4:15-5:15.

Youth Leaders

Our 7th-12th grade youth work on and develop strong leadership skills as part of the FUTURE afterschool program. By becoming youth leaders, they become a critical part of our operations at FUTURE.

Washington, D.C.

Every 3-5 years, we take a select group of youth leaders to our nation’s capital to learn about American government, visit historic sites, and engage with the diversity of culture, religion, race, food, and geography in our country.
