Dress for Success is a program for 5th graders with areas of focus on: public speaking, buidling self-esteem, teaching etiquette and manners, personal hygiene and health, and friendships and peer pressure. Format varies from sessions during regular programming to a day retreat.
The students also are able to go shopping with a mentor for a new outfit to wear at the annual Teacher Tea wheere they present themselves with a speech they have written.
This is all part of a rite of passage as the studnets prepare to enter middle school in the fall.
